The driving force behind KEEN FITNESS is Ankeen Tashdjian. Passion and motivation drives Tashdjian to provide the ultimate fitness environment for women. Tashdjian has immersed herself in over 300 hours of classroom instruction and 200 hours supervised hands on gym time at a six month program through NPTI (National Personal Training Institute) as well as certified through NASM (National Academy of Sports and Medicine).
She is also certified as a CrossFit Level 1 trainer and continues to educate herself on all things fitness and nutrition. A lifelong athlete Tashdjian has a strong bond with her clientele as she can relate to the ups and downs that every woman faces with health and confidence. Breaking points are only a stepping stool to a larger reward. When you’re ready to give up, Ankeen won’t.
Fitness is my passion! I was born and raised in Bulgaria, Eastern Europe, and from an early age I became passionate about fitness. Training and competing as a gymnast developed a solid foundation for athletics, and ignited my desire to continue growing as a fitness professional.
I am NASM certified, and TRX Qualified coach. Additionally, I coach indoor cycling and am in the process of becoming a NASM Master Trainer. My objectives as a coach are to inspire, motivate, encourage, and mentor my clients in creating and sustaining healthy lifestyles.
Coaching others is an art and science! Knowing the client’s strengths helps me to develop progressive programs that will build upon their strengths and further challenge them to improve and accomplish their goals.

I’ve been teaching kickboxing for 10 years plus! Not only do I LIVE to workout, but I LOVE to workout! To share my passion for fitness and pushing clients to their limits is such a rewarding feeling! The desire to help others achieve their best led me to teach kickboxing and everyday I find that fulfillment in my job!
I love being able to introduce women to a sport that they may have normally not been attracted to, and furthermore, tailoring my workouts to allow women to feel empowered by their beautiful bodies!
I have a sweet little boy, and I went through my entire pregnancy working out, adapting, adjusting and understanding the need to stay physically and mentally balanced.
I always encourage my clients to push harder in their workouts while incorporating a fun, non-intimidating environment.
Movement is my form of meditation. It allows me to be completely present and grateful for my body while constantly challenging my mindset. My goal is to help others unlock the ability to use exercise as a tool for connecting with themselves.
I’m a firm believer in the mental and physical benefits of boxing and strength training, so when I found Keen I knew I had met my perfect match! I’m an ACSM certified Personal Trainer, Certified Kickboxing Instructor, and am so excited to coach the incredible women at Keen.
Fitness and working out has been a passion of mine my whole life – there isn’t a time where I wasn’t all about getting a sweat in. I grew up as a competitive tennis player, and found my way to other forms of working out when I started college at USC. Spinning, CrossFit, Pilates, boxing, and eventually Keen Fitness, where I became a member 5 years ago!
With a little push from Ankeen, I went on to enroll at the American Fitness and Nutrition Academy and received my NASM certification. In my class, I’ll help push you to your limits while also making sure you walk out feeling like the baller that you are!
Boxing is not just for the physical, but the mental as well- that’s why I love it.
I’m Cali born and raised. I have been competitive for as long as I can remember. I started boxing in middle school through the PAL boxing program. Honored to have been trained by the best. It not only taught me discipline, but also helped build my confidence and strength. It gave me a healthy outlet. It shaped me into the person I am today. It changed my life forever.
At a young age I knew that I wanted to help other women feel strong, confident and proud. I want to help them push beyond and teach them something no one can take away; the art of boxing. My goal is to motivate and inspire others to step out of there comfort zone and try something new. I want to help you be the best you can be mentally and physically !
